- Caterina Sugranyes is a lecturer in additional language didactics at the FPCEE Blanquerna of the University Ramon Llull, Barcelona. Her most recent research focuses on the use of the language knowledge of users (i.e their own languages) for learning other languages by developing a more plurilingual approach to language teaching and learning through plurilingual identity and awareness. She also accompanies in-service primary and secondary language teachers in rethinking their own teaching practices in order for them to integrate a more plural and ecological approach into the teaching of languages in their schools. She understands training experiences and research as bottom-up, that is, based on authentic, real-life, context-based learning opportunities.
